I tracked down the person who gets the local farmer's market up and going in a town about 30 miles away from where I live. I got the much needed information I was seeking and am pleased to find that I can sell my hand embroidery and other hand made items I make there, as well as my baked goods. This way, when I don't have flowers or produce, I will still have something to sell. I have all of these months to get things made, up until July. So on these cold winter days, I will be inside designing and stitching.

"Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands........" 1 Thessalonians 4:1
I'm so excited this morning, I have somehow missed this blog and I know I will enjoy it so much. The ladies on the sidebar are so cute and I love the description of your dream. I wish I were an expert so I could contribute some advice but alas I am just a city person ( with a country heart). A farm would be a perfect dream for me too, I'm so happy that you are able to do this, looking forward to spring aren't we?
ReplyDeleteYeah! I finally got to visit another of your blogs! Just love it! Glad for you on the Farm Market venture. We used to do them all the time with our honey, beeswax candles, Goat Milk fudge, etc. in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately right now I have to work several hrs a day dispatching trucks, I am fortunate in that I can work out of my home, but at 64 I would really like to retire and get back into my oil painting and do more uilting. If it weren't fot the Lord I could be majorly depressed but I CHOOSE to find happiness in each day. Glad you are able to follow your dreams at this time in your life. Blessings, Kathleen!!
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy and Sunny.....yes, one more blog. You would think I have enough. This is more of a journal blog and what I am working at day by day. So some of it might be repetitious because of Eggs In My Pocket blog. But I am so glad you stopped by! Blessings,Kathleen
